Smudging in Schools

Smudging is a tradition, common to many First Nations, which involves the burning of one or more natural medicines (plants) gathered from the earth. The four medicines (plants) commonly used by First Nations’ are tobacco, sage, cedar and sweetgrass.

Cross Country & Running Club

Rosemont Running Club will be starting Friday, September 8th. All students are welcome to join us at 12:15pm to run in the playground. Students will need runners and a water bottle.

We are training for two upcoming races: Cross Country at Douglas Park on September 27th and the Mayor's Run on September 24th. 

Orange Shirt Day

Rosemont Community School will be celebrating Orange Shirt Day; Every Child Matters on Friday, September 29 at 9:30 a.m.  We encourage all students and community members to wear orange shirts to acknowledge our commitment to reconciliation!  Community members and families are welcome and encouraged to attend our assembly.

My Time

Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:30-8:30 My Time will be offering free drop in youth programs at Rosemont for 10-14 year olds. For more information call 306 777-7146 or visit Regina.ca/mytime.  All participants require a Participant Information Form signed by a parent prior to participating.
