We have been the unfortunate victims of bike theft. Someone came onto our playground, cut a lock and stole a bike from our bike rack. Luckily a neighbour witnessed the incident and called the police right away. We did notice that there are several bikes at school that are not locked up at all. Constable Venne Recommends a U shaped bike lock as it is the most difficult to cut and is an excellent theft deterrent. We are so disappointed that this happened in our community, the police have a good description of the thief and we are hopeful that he will be caught and the bicycle recovered. If your child rides his or her bike to school or around the community, you may want to purchase a u shaped lock.
