Safety after school

With the cold weather, we have a number of students who normally walk home being picked up from school.  If your child is being picked up, kindly notify your child's teacher in the agenda planner, by e-mail or by phoning the school to ensure that the student and teacher are aware of the arrangements, especially when they are different than normal.

Drug Awareness Presentation

Constable Petkau gave a presentation to our grade 5-8 students on drug awareness.  Students learned about various types of drugs, their affects and dangers associated with use and misuse of a variety of drugs.  We learned a lot and hope that our students make good decisions and remember what is at stake when using drugs.  Just say no!

Parking reminder

With the recent cold weather, we are again experiencing problems with parents parking in the staff lots or blocking staff in by pulling into the alley or the handicapped stall at the front of the school.  For student safety, it is critical that parents and caregivers park on the west side of Horace across the street from the school or farther down on 3rd avenue.

Staff Appreciation Week

February 10-16 is Staff Appreciation Week!  Thanks to the Rosemont SCC for the lovely breakfast fruit and yogurt parfaits, the coffee and donuts and the make your own floats! We are spoiled!

We have a great staff at Rosemont Community School!  This is the week to let them know how much you appreciate their hard work!
